We were heading to Reno and needed lunch. We are a railroad family as hubby has been working with them for over 40 years. I usually get in trouble with my restaurant choices, but this one is a winner. I always make sure there are plant based options for myself, and there were. I had 2 of the veggie tacos which were so simple and super deliciously perfection. They were filled with chopped avocados, lettuce, and cheese. I can't eat onions, so we left off the Pico. So simple and yummy. My husband ordered a Railmaster, which he's a Roadmaster, and he loved it It was exactly what he wanted. I truly appreciated the service, which was excellent. The process were extremely fair considering what we ordered and the other menu items. This is a really comfy place to fine in our take out. Just casual, but they still asked about our order making sure we had everything we needed. There were so many options from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I think he should order the Train Wreck next time, but that probably hits too close to home.
I was looking for a different restaurant around this area happened to run into this joint... I tried the Trainwreck sandwich.. it comes with smoked tri-tip pastrami and cheese bell peppers and onions all on a soft warm bun. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Very nice staff and very fast cooking..
Food critic's score 4.8 - yep, deserves it. The meat in the tri-tip burrito was tender, moist, thin-sliced and flavorful - other ingredients were fresh and well-prepared - large size - not over-sized. Tacos had nice freshly scrambled eggs and bacon without much fat - tacos were sprinkled with a little farm cheese & crispy soft. The green sauce is tiny bit spicy and delicious - the red is muy picante but less flavorful. Price - quite reasonable.
Breakfast tacos Hella good! Even the sauce and frys pretty dam good! Glad I tried now I have a new place to get a snack when a get Truck maintenanced!
Tri-tip tacos and potato salad for dinner. Delicious. The potato salad is so good. It doesn't have a ton of veggies in it. Simple. The breakfast burritos are huge. The tri-tip was tender. Not to be mistaken for Tinder.
Had a great chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. A little smaller than other breakfast burritos at taqueria's but also half the price, just as good and I think it's the perfect portion for 1 person. I'm a big guy with a big appetite and this satisfied me. Good and tasty, quality burrito.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Roundhouse Deli – A Hidden Gem in Elk Grove We stopped by Roundhouse Deli during the lunch rush and instantly knew we were in the right place — the line was full of city workers, FedEx drivers, and several police officers (some in uniform, some in plain clothes). Always a good sign! We ordered burgers, tri-tip tacos, and a pastrami on rye Reuben — and everything was absolutely delicious. The tri-tip in the tacos was thin-sliced and piled high. The burgers were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The pastrami was also thin-cut but generously stacked, making the sandwich thick and satisfying. The fries were hot, crispy, and the perfect side. It’s a small deli with limited indoor and outdoor seating, so we took our food to go. Despite the busy lunch crowd, service was quick and friendly. We missed the breakfast menu (ends at 10:30 AM), but we’ll definitely be back soon to try the breakfast burritos. This place is going straight into our regular lunch rotation!
